For those of us that are musically illiterate and deficient can we get a little insight please... ;-)

This is my friend Carlucci. He passed away on Friday. He was only in his 30's. I just came from the funeral and it was heartbreaking to watch his parents grieve.

Carlucci was an avant garde performance artist that had his hand in several projects that incorporated sonic and visual chaos. If you search his name on YouTube you will see samples of his work. As his mother said so poignantly today "Carlucci hated the plain. He would kick and scream until he had found animation in an inanimate object." Amen. He was one of a kind.

Here is another blogger's remembrance of Carlucci with a more in depth description of the man and his work:

I am so sorry for your loss, now that's the type of person I can get into..unrestrained, imaginative
taking what he believes more seriously than what others percieve. Have you noticed the trend setters are always the ones that fall outside of the "proper protocal" of how we are "supposed" to look, act, and be. Good talent and good people definitely go to soon.
